Why Oneness Is Wrong

Was God manifest in the flesh as Jesus? Oneness theology answers yes. Yet this claim raises profound questions throughout Scripture. Why does Jesus pray to God, speak of God's will, serve as mediator, and sit at God's right hand if he is the very God to whom he prays? Unlike many critiques of Oneness theology, this book does not argue from a Trinitarian perspective. Instead, it reexamines the biblical evidence through the lens of biblical monotheism and calls readers back to the apostolic confession that the Father alone is the only true God, while Jesus is His uniquely appointed, exalted, and glorified human Messiah, whom God raised from the dead and made both Lord and Christ. Through a detailed examination of key passages—including Psalm 110:1, John 20:28, 1 Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:9, Hebrews 1, Revelation 4-5, and many others—the book argues that the apostles consistently distinguished between the one God and the Messiah whom God sent. This is a challenge to Oneness theology. A defense of biblical monotheism. A call to return to the faith proclaimed by Jesus and his apostles.
